Montblanc have released a Patron of the arts Limited Edition every year since 1992, the Joseph II is from 2012

From their Patron of Art Editions, Montblanc brings you this Limited Edition 888 Fountain Pen in honour of the Holy Roman Emperor(1765-90), Joseph II. The monarch is known for his efforts to develop art in Europe and for his ardent support towards the music legend, Mozart. This Piston Fountain Pen is made from white and blue lacquer that is translucent and equipped with an 18k solid gold nib that is handcrafted. It has silver tubes and meticulous white gold fittings. This exquisite creation carries details of the emperor’s coat of arms and ‘JII’ neatly engraved on the barrel. It also luxuriously features sapphire embeddings and a cap that is crafted to look like the emperor’s crown. The pen, complete with the brand’s star logo in Mother of Pearl and encased within sapphire glass on the cap top, is piece number 550 out of the 888 that have been produced. Created with skill and assembled with a touch of history, this pen is a treasure worth owning!

The pens nib is made from 18K gold and is a M= medium in size
