A rare patron of the arts Pope Julius ll 4810 limited edition fountain pen by Montblanc.
This one has been used however has been very well looked after so is in excellent near mint condition with its box.
Montblanc have released a patron of the arts limited edition every year since 1992 and the Pope Julius ll is from 2005
Only 4810 ever made and this one is number 2063
Pope Julius II entered the Vatican in 1903 as the new Pontifex Maximus, and during the ten-year papacy worked successfully to safe-guard the church state and the unity of Italy. During his pontificate, the greatest patron in the history of the Church made Rome the center of Italian High Renaissance He not only initiated Bramante’s plans for the reconstruction of St.Peter’s Cathedral but also provided the financial support for Michelangelo’s world-famous ceiling fresco in the Sistine Chapel.
The pens nib is made from 18K gold and is a F= fine in size.
The pen comes with its wooden presentation case and info book
