The engraved mountings and the cap top in vermeil – gold-plated 925 sterling silver – are as rich as the possessions of Voltaire, whose gold-coloured signature decorates the cap of the pen. The 18-karat gold nib, made by a master craftsman, is finished off by delicate engravings reminiscent of the age of Voltaire.
